On the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the Asociación Española para la Calidad (AEC), H.M. King Felipe VI has received this Wednesday in audience its Board of Directors of which ICDQ is a member.
The meeting was held at the Zarzuela Palace, with the participation of Beatriz López Gil, its president, Avelino Brito, director general, and Elena Fernández, representing the Association’s team, as well as the rest of the members and representatives of the different entities.
His Majesty the King shared with the Board of Directors of the Association a modern and ambitious vision of quality, which includes values such as sustainability, and in which people play a central role. He encouraged us to continue with our mission and to spread the values of quality, not only in the area of economic activity, but also in the human sphere, with a focus on the quality of people, which is our country’s greatest asset. This ambition is shared by the Association and coincides with our vision of quality in the 21st century.
During the reception, H.M. the King showed his commitment to Spanish industry and his recognition of the leadership of outstanding Spanish companies, both at home and abroad. The members of the Board of Directors, who belong to the automotive, food, health equipment and technologies, public companies, consultancy, conformity assessment, SMEs and independent professionals sectors, among others, have shared with H.M. the King their current affairs, their challenges and also their aspirations. For his part, H.M. the King expressed his encouragement and confidence in Spanish companies, whose actions and successes contribute to the promotion of our country brand beyond our borders.
From ICDQ we would like to thank His Majesty for the opportunity received and the interest shown in our organisation; it has been an honour for us to be able to share this day with Their Majesties.
