Accreditation, a guarantee for environmental verification
The European Environmental Management and Audit Scheme, EMAS, was designed by the European Union in order to provide validated information to interested parties on the environmental behavior of the companies that apply it, as a demonstration of their commitment to continuous improvement and to transparency.
In this context, both ENAC accreditation and the accredited services provided by ICDQ play a fundamental role in the environmental management system in accordance with the EMAS Scheme implemented in a company, as well as in the environmental statement by which they communicate their results in terms of environmental behavior, since they must be evaluated by an environmental verifier accredited by the accreditation body of each member state of the European Union, ENAC in the case of Spain.
