Last Friday we had the opportunity to participate in the ceremony for the delivery of certifications to the Port Authority of Vilagarcía. At this event, ICDQ delivered the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications in terms of quality management, environmental management, and occupational health and safety management, respectively.
The sustainability policy of the Vilagarcía Port Authority seeks to achieve maximum efficiency in management, which is why it focuses on providing efficient services, creating opportunities to improve competitiveness and promoting the economic development of the environment within a framework of sustainable growth and decided to continue taking steps in this sense in order to “make the port a benchmark in the field of environmental respect, something especially important given our close coexistence with other productive sectors in a natural environment as valuable as the Ría de Arousa”.
The certification encompasses activities as diverse in the port as direct management of port services: maritime signaling, supply of electricity and drinking water; The scale of ships and the storage service; Security and surveillance activities; The management of the use of the port public domain: concessions and authorizations; Port infrastructure and investment.
