ICDQ has been the certifying entity to carry out the certification audit to Hoteles Escuela de Canarias (HECANSA) of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
On 27th July, ICDQ presented the Quality and Environmental certificates to the Hecansa (Hotel escuela Santa Cruz y Santa Brígida, Hotel Escuela Rural Los Casa de los Herrera, Bistró escuela Melenara y Hotel Escuela Rural Casa de los Camellos).
Hoteles Escuela de Canarias (Hecansa) is a training centre attached to the Regional Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Canary Islands Government, which offers Dual Vocational Training, a methodology that allows students to train through the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge applied from the first day with real clients.
This centre has a great professional team that provides students with the necessary tools and knowledge to train as future professionals in the Hotel and Catering Industry through an innovative methodology in which they promote the teaching of languages, information technology and communications.
Thanks to these certifications, Hoteles Escuela de Canarias advances in the European framework of quality in Vocational Training and ensures its commitment to the protection of the environment through the correct management of the waste generated by its activity.
In addition, they represent international recognition of the good practices carried out and which leads to an increase in confidence on the part of people who want to train through Hecansa’s dual vocational training system, a benchmark and pioneer in this type of education.
